tHE iMPORTANCE OF bUSINESS STUDIES
Business is the overwhelming driving force behind the economy that we live in. Decisions taken by businesses have economy changing consequences - some for the better, some for the worse. All students when they leave school will hopefully be working for a business or they will be setting a business up themselves and as such we are working towards educating the next generation of students for jobs within a huge variety of business sectors.
CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Key Stage 4
Students opting to take Business at Key Stage 4 will either be enrolled in a traditional GCSE qualification or a BTEC qualification both of which contain a blanaced mix of practical work and theory. The qualifications teaches students about the structure of businesses and allows them to study the key functions of Finance, Marketing, Operations and Human Resources.
Post 16
The qualifications we offer at TRS continues the trend of allowing the students a good mix theory and practical application within Business, Economic and Financial areas of study. We aim to ensure that all studenst choosing to undertake one of our buisness courses is sufficiently prepared for the world of work or higher education.
